DIET AND FOOD

WET VS. DRY
If you think about what a cat eats in the wild, what comes to mind? Birds, mice, squirrels etc. in other words, a combination of wet and dry food materials. Therefore, realizing that the healthiest diet for your household pet is a combination of wet and dry foods is a reasonable conclusion. Yet many people still cling to the idea that Kitty will do just fine on only dry kibble or only canned food. Remember, the dry and wet food should be served in separate bowls. Don't mix them together.

Veterinarians will often say that an all-dry diet is fine and nutritionally complete, but how would you like to eat a bowl of dry cereal for breakfast lunch and dinner for the rest of your life? Yes, Kitty will survive on such a diet, but it really isn't the BEST for her, or the most interesting. Just like you can survive just fine on pizza every day for every meal for the rest of your life . . . but it's not the BEST diet for you, and boy would it get boring! Cats need wet food to reduce the workload on the kidneys. Cats with a history of bladder or kidney disease should not be given any dry food.
