KittyKind Release Form

I understand that there are NO GUARANTEES regarding the behavior of animals, especially animals kept in cages. While KittyKind will take every precaution to minimize the potential danger posed by animals to volunteers, I further understand that animals are unpredictable under any circumstance and that KittyKind makes no promises either express or implied regarding the behavior of the animals under its care and control.

FOR WOMEN VOLUNTEERS:
I understand that there is a small but medically serious risk of exposing my unborn fetus to TOXOPLASMOSIS. I understand that this organism may pose a risk of harm to my unborn fetus. I further understand that it is solely my responsibility to monitor my status regarding pregnancy. I also understand that the organism toxoplasmosis exists widely in the modern environment apart from the feline population, and can be contracted in ways other than from a cat.

I fully acknowledge that I have KNOWINGLY DECIDED TO ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS associated with the care of stray, abandoned and unwanted cats.

Further, I hereby agree to hold KittyKind, its officers, directors and volunteers, and PETCO and its employees and officers, harmless for any and all claims, damages, injury — physical or psychological — and liability that may result immediately or remotely from my volunteer work with any of the animals in KittyKind's care and control.

I promise not to commence or threaten to commence any legal action against KittyKind, its officers, directors and volunteers, and PETCO and its employees and officers, stemming from my volunteer work with the animals in KittyKind's care and control.

I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND AN ENFORCEABLE CONTRACT BETWEEN ME AND KITTYKIND. I OF MY OWN FREE WILL ACKNOWLEDGE THIS.
