KittyKoncerts presents
An Evening of Music & Warmth
Celebrating the Love of Our Pets
January's memorial KittyKoncert was exquisite! A great success! It was
held in a beautiful brownstone, in the parlour, and had quite the feeling of a
nineteenth century soiree. The music was incredible, particularly the Requiem.
It was a piece written for three cellos and a piano. Right before this piece was
played, Teresa passed around tiny cards, each printed with a little cat. On
these cards she asked us to write the names of a beloved animal (or person) that
had gone on to the next level of light, and then place them in a delicate,
silver bowl. Then the four musicians played the Requiem. It was deeply moving,
my eyes filled with tears. I felt all the cat angels fill the room with joy and
love. The rest of the audience was as moved as I had been. The hosts prepared
delicious food. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The guests were festively
dressed, women in sparkling jewelry and velvets, and men in handsome jackets. It
was the perfect start for the new year, an evening filled with hope and light,
the best way for KittyKind to begin this year.
Encore! Hilary, 1/30/08
I echo the sentiment. It was FABULOUS! The whole event was moving, the music was
great, the hosts warm and talented and interesting. The house was lovely and
interesting (how they had renovated it, decorated it with found objects and her
artwork, etc.)

Thank you for inviting me to KittyKoncert, one of the most enjoyable evenings.
Everything about the evening was perfect - the music, the people, the food, the
charming townhouse - and best of all it was for a great cause, KittyKind. I'm
looking forward to the next concert and will certainly attend.

Thank you for inviting me to the first, most wonderful KittyKoncert! It went way
beyond my expectations. I can't praise the organizers enough--and what a
marvelous venue, an 1865 townhouse. January is always a bit gray around the
edges but the music, the warmth of the dedicated cat-lovers, the food and
everything else about the evening put a glow in my heart. I will be sending
another donation soon because the first concert and the work of KittyKind and
its volunteers is so deserving. Of course, I will continue to praise the
organization to others and encourage them to donate too. I'm looking forward to
the next concert.
Thanks again. Dene Davis, 2/12/08

KittyKoncerts provides a fun and meaningful way for people to celebrate and honor the life of their pets while helping animals in need. For further information, or if you would like to host a KittyKoncert in your home or other venue, contact us at kittykoncerts@yahoo.com.
